The Shakespeare Project (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a theatrical and educational program in Greene County, Virginia, run by Jenny Hahn. This policy explains what information we collect through theshakespeareproject.net, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Mailing list. If you sign up for our mailing list, we collect your email address and first name.
  • Contact and interest forms. If you send us a message or fill out an interest form, we collect the name, email address, phone number, and message you provide, and how you would like to be contacted.

  • Payments. Payments are handled by third-party payment services such as Stripe. We receive confirmation that a payment was made, but we do not see or store your full card or bank account numbers.
  • Basic technical information. Our website host and website tools may automatically record information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. This helps keep the site secure and working properly.
  • Cookies. The site may use cookies that are needed for it to work or to load faster.

  • To operate, secure, and improve the website.

We do not sell your personal information.

How we protect registration information

Registration information is saved privately in our website’s administration area. We do not put it on public pages, add it to our mailing list, or include medical details in the notification emails we send ourselves.

Email

Our newsletters are sent using Hostinger Reach. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can stop receiving emails at any time.

Service providers and other websites

Interest forms and registration for our classes and camps are currently handled through Omella, a third-party service, and through forms on this website. Information you enter on Omella’s forms, such as your name, contact details, and your child’s information, is collected by Omella and shared with us, and Omella’s own privacy policy applies to it.

Our website is hosted by Hostinger, which also provides our email service. Payments are processed by Stripe and, in some cases, PayPal or Venmo, and their own privacy policies apply to payment information. We link to our pages on Facebook and Instagram. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

Children’s privacy

Our classes serve children and teens, but this website is intended for parents and guardians. We collect information about students only from their parents or guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the website. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

Photos and videos

We share photos and videos from our classes and productions on this website. We share images of students only with permission from a parent or guardian. If you would like a photo or video removed, please contact us and we will take it down.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message. You can also contact us to ask what information we have about you or your student, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
