I’m Jenny Hahn, and I’ve been teaching Shakespeare for over a decade.

What started out as an experience I wanted to create for my own kids turned into a life mission to help teens build confidence, camaraderie, and critical thinking skills through the medium of the Bard’s works.
My first love was Leonardo DiCaprio as Romeo in Baz Luhrmann’s film in 1996. I’ve never been the same since.
I received a degree in music from Brigham Young University, where I studied composition and theory. I thought I wanted to compose film scores, but it turns out I just wanted to write. I spent a few decades teaching music and composition.
When a friend asked me to help teach Shakespeare at a homeschool group, I was all in. Once I got going, I knew I’d found my calling. I have a particular interest in Original Practice Style Shakespeare and am preparing to release my unique curriculum.
I have six kids: four are adults who are college students or graduates, one is in high school, and one is still homeschooling and attending a microschool. All of them are Shakespeare alumni who have performed in many productions.
I love to read, write, be outside, and make people laugh.

Jamie Gilson
Former teacher: 2023–2026
Director: The Taming of the Shrew (2024), Much Ado About Nothing (2026)
Jamie started her Shakespeare journey while living in California. She was asked to help teach a class as part of a homeschool group and jumped in, not knowing anything about him.
From the beginning, she fell in love. The language, the humor, and the chaos were meant to be experienced, not just studied.
Jamie is a homeschooling mom who has graduated four kids and has one more at home. She loves the beach, adventures, and travel! With her husband’s recent retirement from the military, she’s excited about the adventures she has ahead!
